The 5th AKB48 Group No.1 Singing Competition (AKB48歌唱力No1決定戦) will be held at next year (2023). Rewards, schedule, and rules have been announced.
Besides individual contestant, they also hold a unit battle of three members.
All of AKB48 Group members in Japan are able to participate in this prestigious event.
For unit battle, all members of each unit must be in the same group.
Each member can participate in both individual and unit.

November 16 - December 14, 2022.
■ Qualifying
Scheduled to be broadcast in January 2023 (TBS Channel 1)
■ Final
March 2, 2023 (Unit Battle)
March 3, 2023 (individual competition)
■ Winning Rewards
The winner of individual competition will get an original song produced by Yasushi Akimoto.
The top 8 finalists in the individual competition, 1 participant selected for the special judges' prize, and the winning unit will be given the right to perform at the "Finalist LIVE" to be held at a later date.
In addition, a special reward program will be produced starrinh the 4 members who wins the individual and unit battles! Filming locations are planned to be Okinawa and Hawaii.
