Okosama Plate's Riara Dismissed After Theft Scandal

Okosama Plate's Riara Dismissed After Theft Scandal
Riara

Riara, a member of the idol group Okosama Plate, was dismissed earlier this year after being accused of stealing another member’s property and selling it on an online marketplace.

Initially, DreamARK, the agency managing the group, stated that the dismissal was due to a “serious breach of contract” in April.

However, the full details of the case were revealed on 7th September.

Riara admitted to the offence, and the matter is currently with the Public Prosecutors Office.

She took to social media to apologise to fans but expressed her frustrations with the agency.

She claimed there were several issues with DreamARK that she could no longer tolerate.

In particular, Riara pointed out that the agency refused to correct what she said was inaccurate information about her dismissal, which led her to a point where she attempted suicide.

She also raised concerns over unpaid salaries and how the agency handled social media use.

These allegations have added further controversy to an already tense situation, with fans of Okosama Plate now questioning the management practices of DreamARK.

While her actions were unquestionably wrong, Riara’s claims against the agency have raised broader questions about how idols are treated in the industry.

The agency has yet to comment further on these allegations, leaving fans waiting for more clarity.

Riara's dismissal has brought to light problems that seem to go beyond the theft, creating a larger conversation around idol agency practices.
