The results of a recent NetLab survey in Japan have surprised many, asking fans, “Who is your favourite idol produced by Yasushi Akimoto?”
The responses left people talking, as 22/7—a virtual idol group known for combining animation with real-life performances—snatched the top spot.
This result came as a bit of a shock, considering the immense popularity of Akimoto’s other creations.
What’s particularly surprising is that 22/7 outperformed all the Sakamichi Series groups, such as Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46, and Hinatazaka46, who typically dominate these types of rankings.

As for the 48 Group, AKB48 managed to secure the 6th spot, making it the highest-ranked group from the original "48" family.
