AKB48 thrilled fans today by announcing their much-anticipated 10th album, “Nantedatte AKB48” (After All, It’s AKB48), during their ongoing tour performance. The album will drop on Christmas Day, 25 December 2024.
The title track, “Nantedatte Idol”, will feature Murayama Yuiri as the centre, supported by a star-studded senbatsu lineup including Oguri Yui, Sato Airi, Yamauchi Mizuki, and Kuranoo Narumi.
Excitement also builds with the addition of Muto Orin, Iwatate Saho, and Suzuki Kurumi to the senbatsu.
The album promises a nostalgic twist with AKB48 members covering iconic J-Pop classics like “LOVE Machine” by Morning Musume and “Kimi no Na Wa Kibou” by Nogizaka46.
Each track showcases the group's diversity and talent.
With Murayama Yuiri delivering a solo of “Desire - Jounetsu -” and Oguri Yui performing a solo cover of “Cherry Blossom”, this release is poised to be a festive treat for fans worldwide.
