SKE48 Roundtable with Fans Leads to Fresh Strategies for Fan Engagement

On 1 November 2024, SKE48 management held a roundtable discussion with fans to exchange ideas for enhancing future events and fan experiences. 

Representatives from Zest and KeyHolder, the key management firms behind SKE48, took part in the event to discuss potential steps for boosting fan engagement.

One key proposal was to establish quotas for female fans, couples, and students. This approach aims to attract a more diverse fan base and foster fresh enthusiasm for SKE48's performances. 

Additionally, fans expressed a desire for SKE48 to make appearances on national television, which would further extend the group's reach and appeal.

The Tokyo-based sales manager shared that he has been actively pursuing TV opportunities, revealing that the team is working on creating content with strong appeal for broadcasters. 

This strategic move reflects a desire to expand SKE48's media presence on larger platforms.

An exciting development shared during the discussion was the involvement of SKE48 graduate Saki Takeuchi, now part of the Zest team. 

Takeuchi will be producing eight videos this month, designed to showcase SKE48 members' personal sides, offering fans an intimate glimpse into their lives. 

These videos, to be released on YouTube, promise to connect with fans on a more personal level.

Hiromitsu Takada, President of Zest, shared his appreciation for the fans’ commitment: "Fans not only support SKE48 but also bring valuable ideas on how to grow the fan base and make the group more appealing. I hope we continue to have these discussions and take progressive steps forward.”

President Yuji Oide of KeyHolder echoed these sentiments, noting, "This meeting has been a valuable opportunity for us to align with fans on the next actions. I found it personally beneficial, and I hope we can make these gatherings a regular occurrence."

With these initiatives, SKE48 management shows a clear commitment to innovation and collaboration with fans, paving the way for a new era of engagement and fan experience.
