Ameshima Shizuku and Yuzuki Julia, who were scheduled to graduate from the idol group Taiyou to Odore Tsukiyo ni Utae at a farewell concert on 9th February 2025, have unexpectedly cancelled their contracts, effective 10th January 2025.
The group’s management released an official statement addressing the sudden departure, revealing that both members requested to leave ahead of their planned graduation.
Their social media accounts, including Twitter, were also deleted shortly after the announcement. Sources suggest that the duo had been facing online harassment leading up to their departure, which may have influenced their decision.
As a result, the much-anticipated concert marking the end of the group's current lineup has been cancelled.
The announcement expressed deep regret over the abrupt decision and apologised to fans.
Management also urged against speculation, rumours, or negative comments directed at the departing members or remaining group.
This shocking turn of events has left fans reeling, as Shizuku Ameshima and Julia Yuzuki were key figures in the group.
While their departure remains amicable, the sudden nature of the decision has sparked widespread discussion online.
Despite the unexpected news, management asked fans to respect the privacy of the members and the group during this transition.
