Dempagumi.inc Bids Farewell After 16 Years

J-Pop idol group Dempagumi.inc concluded 16 years of activity with a tearful yet joyful finale on 5th January at Chiba’s Makuhari Event Hall.

The second night of their closing event, “Dempagumi.inc THE ENDING: Saving the Universe!”, brought an emotional end to their iconic journey.

Opening with “Girametasu Dempa Stars”, the stage showcased 400 costumes and artefacts, including the shutter of their formation site, Akihabara’s DearStage.

Leader Risa Aizawa energised fans, declaring it “the strongest, best, and most cosmic Dempagumi.inc day ever!”

Founded in 2007, Dempagumi.inc became an Akihabara sensation by 2010, achieving milestones like a Nippon Budokan performance.

Member Mirin Furukawa, the last founding member, shared heartfelt thoughts: “Today is a special day for all of us!”

Fans waved orange penlights during “ORANGE RIUM”, while the group performed an acapella “Autumn Leaves’ Field”, smiling through tears.

With a final “Sakura Apparetion”, they bid fans farewell, scattering confetti as they left.

After delivering 28 songs over three hours, Furukawa ended with gratitude: “We hope Dempagumi.inc stays in your memories forever.” Fans responded with unending applause and heartfelt thanks.

They leave behind a vibrant history of geek culture, heartfelt music, and loyal fan connections, inspiring future idols.
