Today, Li Mingde announced legal action against the production house behind the drama The Triple Echo of Time. The actor, known for his candid approach, took to his Weibo account to reveal his decision.
Li Mingde stated he would refrain from further public comments regarding the controversy on professional advice.
"Under guidance from my professional friends, I have decided not to make any statements that could impact the progress of this case until there are significant developments in safeguarding my rights. Justice must prevail. I have engaged a legal team to sue those responsible," he declared.
He also shared evidence of his case submission to a Beijing law firm.
The drama, produced by Jilin Chaoye Film and Television Co., Ltd., has been at the centre of a heated dispute.
Previously, Li Mingde accused the production team of unprofessionalism, poor attitudes, and alleged deception by the producers.
In response, the team labelled Li Mingde as problematic on set.
This drama marks the production house’s second original project, now overshadowed by legal and reputational challenges. Both parties await further legal proceedings to resolve the ongoing feud.
