PIGGS, J-Pop idol group formed during the COVID-19 pandemic in April 2020, has announced an end to their communal living arrangement.
The decision, revealed by group producer and member Pour Lui (ex-BiS and BILLIE IDLE), marks a pivotal step for the group.
Pour Lui explained that the change is essential for the members "to grow and become independent both as idols and as individuals".
Initially, the communal setup allowed the group to bond deeply and operate effectively under pandemic restrictions.
Even after restrictions were lifted, the "PIGGS House" became a symbol of their identity and teamwork.
Over time, members SHELLME, BAN-BAN, KINCHAN, BIBI, and SU-RING flourished as idols and individuals. However, Pour Lui noted that the arrangement occasionally led to over-dependence.
The group believes they can now trust each other without constant proximity.
While they will no longer live together, one floor of their shared house will be retained as an office and a "home away from home".
This decision reflects their determination to pursue higher stages of growth while preserving their bond.
In their official statement, PIGGS expressed gratitude to fans and vowed to maintain their unity. They also encouraged fans to support their new chapter with optimism.
