Bai Jingting is on fire! His latest drama, The First Frost, just hit a whopping 10,331 heat index points on Youku, making it his fourth drama to cross the 10K mark.
That’s a new record for any male actor in China!
Since his debut in Back in Time (2014), Bai Jingting has taken on a variety of roles, proving he’s not just a pretty face.
In The First Frost, a Hidden Love spinoff, he’s back in a school uniform, playing a character caught up in love and nostalgia.
Fans were already hyped before the premiere, with 7.5 million reservations on Youku alone.
However, with celebrity scandals dominating headlines lately, the drama’s launch didn’t explode as expected.
But just two days in, it’s proving its worth, climbing the charts and securing a top spot among modern dramas.
This milestone follows the success of Reset, New Life Begins, and Destined, all of which previously broke the 10K barrier.
Notably, The First Frost and Destined reached the mark at record speed for their respective platforms.
Bai Jingting had a rough patch last year with Spring Festival backlash, but this latest achievement proves he’s still one of China’s most bankable stars.
Bai as the first billing is the first actor to achieved the 3-platform (Tencent, iQIYI, and Youku) heat index.
Tencent:
Reset - 31,734
iQIYI:
New Life Begins - 10, 477
Destined - 10, 353
Youku:
The First Frost - 10,000
Fans are celebrating his streak, and with this kind of momentum, who knows what’s next for him?
