Hinatazaka46 has done it again! Their 13th single, "Sotsugyo Sashin Dake ga Shitteru", just got a Double Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ).
Released on 29 January 2025, the single smashed through 500,000 sales in no time.
This isn’t the first time they’ve hit the double platinum milestone.
Back in May 2024, their 11th single, "Kimi wa Honeydew", also achieved the same certification. These girls are unstoppable!
For those wondering, RIAJ certifications are awarded based on shipment numbers.
A "Gold Disc" is given for 100,000 units, Platinum for 250,000, and Double Platinum for 500,000. It's all official and based on shipments tracked by the organisation.
Now, let’s talk about the "Sotsugyo Sashin Dake ga Shitteru" lineup.
This senbatsu has 14 members—the smallest yet! Fans are buzzing about Kosaka Nao returning as centre after leading "Boku Nanka".
