Kim Soo-hyun Breaks Silence on Kim Sae-ron Rumours
South Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun finally spoke out about the swirling rumours linking him to the late actress Kim Sae-ron.
Holding a press conference at the Stanford Hotel in Seoul on 31st March, he denied accusations of dating her while she was underage and dismissed claims that he played a role in her financial troubles and tragic passing.
With his lawyer by his side, Kim read a prepared statement without taking questions.
“Because I am Kim Soo-hyun, there are many things I must protect. I fear every choice I make, but if I could turn back time to Queen of Tears, I would not change a thing. I am willing to be called a coward,” he said, his voice filled with emotion.
He firmly stated that he and Kim Sae-ron were like any ordinary couple and had broken up long before her personal struggles became public.
Soo Hyun also clarified that after their split, they had little to no contact, dismissing speculation that he or his agency pressured her over debts.
Tearing up, Kim Soohyun denied the authenticity of the alleged Instagram posts and chat logs supposedly proving a longer relationship.

“The photos were from 2019, not 2016. The chats from 2016 and 2018 were not written by the same person. We have already submitted these records for professional verification.”
His lawyer added that Kim had taken legal action against those spreading false information.
"Since we are pursuing this case in court, we will not be answering questions today.”
Kim Soo-hyun’s name has been caught in a whirlwind of controversy after Korean media suggested he emotionally manipulated Kim Sae-ron and had unresolved financial disputes with Saeron.
Today’s press conference aimed to put an end to the speculation.
