K-pop sensation BLACKPINK’s highly anticipated 2025 World Tour has hit a rough patch, with reports emerging that YG Entertainment has removed the tour’s schedule from its official website.
The move comes after the group struggled to sell out major stadiums, including London’s iconic Wembley Stadium, raising questions about the quartet’s current draw in the global music scene.
According to a recent post on X by user @KPOP_STYLE__, the tour—initially announced with much fanfare—failed to fill seats at several high-profile venues, such as Wembley, Rogers Centre in Toronto, Citi Field in New York, Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Barcelona, and SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

A screenshot shared in the post revealed a stark “File not found” message on YG’s website under the tour section, suggesting the company may be rethinking its strategy.

Further evidence of the tour’s challenges included a ticket availability chart for BLACKPINK’s Wembley show, scheduled for August 2025, which showed only 57.56% of the venue’s capacity sold with 134 days remaining.
This has sparked speculation among fans and industry watchers about whether the group, known for hits like “How You Like That” and “Pink Venom,” may be facing oversaturation or a dip in popularity following their last major tour in 2023.

Critics on X have pointed to YG Entertainment’s history of “mediaplay”—a term used in K-pop circles to describe exaggerated promotional tactics—as a likely next step.
Some users suggested the company might attempt to spin the narrative by offering free tickets or claiming sold-out shows to save face.
One user commented, “They’ll probably give away free tickets and say it’s sold out—happened once, it can happen twice.”
BLACKPINK, consisting of members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa, has long been a dominant force in K-pop, breaking records with their 2022–2023 “Born Pink” tour.
However, the group’s recent activities have been more focused on individual projects, which some fans believe may have impacted their collective momentum.
Neither YG Entertainment nor BLACKPINK’s representatives have issued an official statement regarding the tour’s status.
For now, fans are left waiting to see whether the group will downsize to smaller venues, cancel dates, or push forward with a revised plan. One thing is certain: the K-pop world will be watching closely to see how BLACKPINK navigates this unexpected hurdle.
