| Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei Lead Sword-Swinging Love Story in Chasing Jade Debut |
Get ready for a stormy romance, a fake marriage with real feelings, and yes — a heroine promising to kill pigs to support her man. The first trailer for historical romance series Chasing Jade (Zhu Yu) has landed, and it’s already stirring up buzz, fan wars, and more than a few raised eyebrows.
The drama stars Tian Xiwei as Fan Changyu, and Zhang Linghe as the brooding but beautiful Xie Zheng.
Their very first trailer wastes no time — we get a cheeky kiss (literally), followed by an unexpected meet-cute where she rescues a bleeding stranger and then declares: “I, Fan Changyu, the legitimate heir, will kill pigs to raise you.”

And that, dear readers, is how a legendary romance begins.
Based on a popular novel, the story follows Fan Changyu, a sharp and sassy heiress who fakes a marriage with Xie Zheng, a down-on-his-luck nobleman seeking revenge for a 17-year-old blood feud.
She wants to protect her inheritance and younger sister from vulturous relatives.
He needs cover to pursue his vendetta. Simple enough, right?
But fake marriages never stay fake for long in dramaland. The pair fall for each other properly, just in time for war to barge in uninvited.

Xie Zheng gets dragged onto the battlefield, leaving Fan Changyu behind — for about five minutes.
The trailer teases their reunion as she charges into war herself, sword in hand, and together they become what the synopsis calls “warrior lovers.”
Dual-sword romance? Yes please.
The cast lineup is stacked with familiar faces: Ren Hao, Snow Kong, Deng Kai, Li Qing, Yu Zhongli, Liu Lin, Yan Yikuan, Ye Yang, Du Chun, Tan Kai, Mao Linlin, Ye Zuxin and Yu Yang all make appearances. It’s a feast of talent — and drama.

The vibes?
A bit Legend of the Condor Heroes meets fake-marriage rom-com.
Stylish costuming, broody battle sequences, and that tension-laced chemistry between Zhang Linghe and Tian Xiwei hint that this might be one of the more buzzworthy offerings of the season — if it can deliver on the heat teased in the trailer.
It’s early days, and drama fans are already split — some cheering the chemistry, others side-eyeing the character dynamics. But love it or loathe it, Chasing Jade’s first peek has people talking.
