The wait is nearly over! Youku has finally locked in the premiere date for its upcoming modern romance drama, Eat Run Love, and it’s dropping on 8 April.
This one’s got all the drama vibes you’d want—romance, heartbreak, second chances—and it stars two of the buzziest young names in Chinese entertainment right now: Chen Feiyu and Zhuang Dafei.
They’re back together again in this emotional rollercoaster of a story. Yep, Eat Run Love is basically a tale of love lost and (maybe?) found again. We’re talking returning love, but with business suits and heartbreaks.
The drama will have 28 episodes, each around 45 minutes long.
It’s adapted from the web novel A Billion Dollar Romance by Chen Zhiyao, and it’s directed by Yu Chung Chung with the script penned by Jin Yuan Yuan.
So, what’s it about?
Eat Run Love follows Ding Zhitong (played by Dafei), a hardworking girl from an ordinary family who’s never really had time for love.
Then comes Gan Yang (played by Feiyu), a charming free-spirited guy who’s got money, ambition, and a whole different world behind him.
He pursues Zhitong, and though they come from totally different backgrounds, their chemistry kicks off a passionate relationship.
But money problems and social pressure don’t make things easy. Gan Yang’s family business hits a rough patch, and instead of being honest, he hides the whole thing. That secrecy drives a wedge between him and Zhitong.
Zhitong feels betrayed, and their relationship crashes. They break up. Ten full years go by, and surprise—fate pulls them back together. This time, they’re not just old flames... they’re business rivals.

A short trailer dropped recently, giving a taste of the romantic tension between Gan Yang and Ding Zhitong. Fans are already hyped to see how this complex love story unfolds.
Chen Feiyu (Arthur Chen) plays a very different role compared to his past dramas like Lighter and Princess. He brings a quieter emotional depth to Gan Yang.
Meanwhile, Zhuang Dafei (Sabrina Huang) continues to shine as a leading actress, showing off more maturity and confidence in this role.
