Kamimura Kenshin Breaks Down in Court: Firmly Denies Assault Charges

Former ONE N' ONLY member Kamimura Kenshin made a highly emotional appearance at West Kowloon Magistrates’ Court this morning, where he strongly denied the indecent assault charge against him.

The 25-year-old Japanese actor and singer appeared visibly shaken as he stood in front of the judge.

Dressed in a black suit and tie, Kenshin's voice cracked as he loudly proclaimed his innocence in Japanese.

He was even seen crying during the proceedings, prompting the judge to ask if he needed a break. Kamimura Kenshin composed himself and softly responded in Japanese, “It’s okay.”

He then followed up with a polite “Mou man tai” in Cantonese, meaning “no problem,” before adding a “thank you” in Japanese.

The courtroom was filled with over 170 observers, most of them female fans from Hong Kong, China and Japan.

Several were seen crying during the session, visibly affected by Kamimira Kenshin’s emotional state. Some looked deeply worried, unsure of what the future holds for their idol.

Kenshin was granted bail and the trial will continue on July 30.

The charge stems from an incident that allegedly occurred on July 1st, when Kenshin was in Hong Kong for a fan meeting alongside co-star Motodai Sumimasa, promoting their BL drama "Minor."

A day after the event, Kenshin was accused of molesting a 27-year-old female translator during a celebratory dinner.

The news of the arrest shocked fans and sent ripples through the J-pop scene.

His agency Stardust wasted no time in cutting ties with him. Kenshin was immediately dismissed and removed from all future group activities.

ONE N' ONLY has since continued as a five-member unit, and recently announced their official debut under a new label. Their first CD is set to be released on June 18.

Kamimura Kenshin’s career, once on the rise, now hangs in the balance as he faces the court battle ahead.

Whether his tearful denial will sway the case remains to be seen, but his public image has already taken a massive hit.

Still, his fans remain divided – some standing by his side, others left in shock and disbelief.
