Liu Yuning’s name popped up again in the rumour mill, this time said to be starring in a new drama The World of Flowers alongside Ju Jingyi.
But the popular actor-singer isn’t having it.
Speaking through a statement shared by NetEase (via Yahoo Singapore), Liu Yuning flat-out denied the claims, saying he’s never even seen the script that’s been floating around online.
“I’ve been caught up with music variety shows recently and haven’t really kept up with what’s being said online,” he said, sounding as chill as ever.
The buzz had fans excited and fandoms buzzing, but Liu reminded everyone to keep things respectful.
“I hope everyone can stay polite and friendly, and not argue over things that haven’t been confirmed,” he added.
This isn’t the first time Liu’s been randomly linked to dramas he never signed up for.
It seems like every few months, someone throws his name into the mix, and before long, the internet runs wild.
Fans have voiced their annoyance too.
For them, it’s frustrating to see Liu Yuning constantly dragged into casting gossip, only to face a wave of unnecessary criticism.
Right now, Liu’s focus is purely on music.
He’s been busy with a string of variety show appearances, showing off his vocal chops and keeping his schedule packed.
As for the Ju Jingyi drama? No shade to her, but Liu’s not involved—at least not for now. So if you were gearing up for that on-screen pairing, you might have to hold your breath a little longer.
