Regarding a Halloween photograph that had surfaced, Tanaka clarified it wasn’t just the two of them — they had been with a group of friends. When asked whether the gathering had taken place at Nagano’s home, he laughed and said, “Don’t make me say it!”
He acknowledged that while they did have a good relationship, both of them understood, in his words, “this is not okay, this is not good.” He then confirmed, “So, it’s ended. It’s over.”
When asked whether they had met in April, Tanaka stated, “It’s fine if we met — we’re just friends.”
Lastly, regarding speculation that he held a spare key to Nagano’s apartment, Tanaka responded firmly: “I don’t have it. I returned it to her a long time ago.”
