Nana Doubles Down on THE BOYZ Sunwoo's Attitude Row

Singer and actress Nana has once again found herself in the spotlight after publicly calling out THE BOYZ member Sunwoo, who has been criticised for his alleged impolite behaviour.

The controversy began when a video of Sunwoo circulated online, showing him leaving a radio broadcast. As he entered a lift, he shouted, “My AirPods!” without making eye contact or bowing. 

A nearby security guard picked them up and handed them over. Sunwoo simply accepted them with one hand, not visibly expressing gratitude.

Online communities quickly picked up the clip, with some questioning his manners and attitude as a public figure. Among those reacting was Nana, who left a pointed comment saying, “He needs to be scolded,” drawing wide attention.

Her comment sparked a wave of backlash from Sunwoo’s fans. 

Many began leaving hateful comments on Nana’s personal social media, saying things like, “Did you think this was a private account? Apologise and disappear,” and “Shut up and mind your own business.”

But rather than backing down, Nana remained firm in her view. In response to a fan who criticised her for judging someone based on a short clip, Nana simply replied, “See one and you’ve seen them all.”

That phrase alone stirred even more debate online. Many netizens took her words as a strong yet subtle jab, suggesting that Sunwoo’s behaviour in the clip may reflect a deeper issue with his personality.

Sunwoo later attempted to clarify the situation on a fan communication platform. 

He said, “Everyone kept talking about the AirPods, so I watched the video wondering what the issue was. I can see how it looked like I didn’t say thank you and appeared rude.”

He continued, “A fan shouted something at the time, and I was confused. I didn’t know what had fallen. Once I realised it was my AirPods, I looked around, but I couldn’t find them. When they were handed to me, I did say thank you, though I didn’t bow.”

He added, “Even when people hold the door for me, I always say thank you. I greet everyone, including cleaning staff at music shows. I’ll make sure to act more carefully to avoid future misunderstandings.”

But Nana’s subtle response—"See one and you’ve seen them all"—seemed to have resonated with many online. 

While some fans of Sunwoo defended him, others expressed disappointment, saying that celebrity behaviour, especially in public, carries weight.

The incident has sparked wider discussion about accountability and professionalism in the entertainment industry, especially among idols with younger fanbases.

Nana, who has long been praised for her outspokenness, received an outpouring of support from netizens who applauded her for speaking up.

And yeah, I keep reminding myself—this is something I need to keep working on.”
