Nekoare Leaves Maison de Queen After Just 2 Months

J-Pop group Maison de Queen has officially announced that Nekoare has left the group as of today, 9 April 2025.

The Ehime-born idol, known for her fiery red member colour and genre-bending style between EDM and rock, only joined the group earlier this year on 11 February.

Despite her short tenure, fans were quick to warm up to her unique charm and heartfelt stage presence.

Before Maison de Queen, she was known as a founding member of Schrödinger no Inu, a group she graduated from back in June 2022.

This move marks another shift in Nekoare’s idol journey.

While many hoped her time with Maison de Queen would bloom into something long-term, she’s now stepping away, citing deep personal reflection.

In an emotional message shared via Ever Blue Entertainment, Nekoare admitted to struggling with feelings of inadequacy and questioned whether she was fit to continue walking the group’s path.

“I'm really sorry for the sudden news,” she wrote.

“As I continued activities, I began to face my own weaknesses and started asking myself if I was truly suitable for Maison de Queen.”

After many discussions with fellow members and staff, the decision was made.

She officially departed on 9 April, with her last appearance taking place at GIGA GIGA SONIC at Zepp Shinjuku that same night.

Nekoare also shared her gratitude with fans who discovered her and cheered her on.

“I’m full of gratitude. I’m sorry for not being able to live up to your expectations. I want to take time off social media for a while and reflect on myself.”

The group’s upcoming performances on 11 and 12 April—IDOLKINGDOM ROAD and SOUL -NIGHT-—will now continue as a four-member act.

Maison de Queen, formed in July 2024, made their first major appearance in September with a performance titled "MAKE THE QUEEN."

Their unique concept of “6 People + 1 Queen” immediately caught attention in the idol scene.

Nekoare’s exit may feel abrupt, but it’s clear she leaves with a heavy heart and sincere respect for both her groupmates and her supporters.

Maison de Queen thanked everyone who supported her and asked fans to continue showing warmth to both the group and Nekoare’s future path.
