Ping Krittanun’s Bold Move: Why He’s Leaving MChoice Thailand This April |
Actor Ping Krittanun Aunchananun is preparing to officially part ways with MChoice Thailand, the company confirmed via social media on Monday. According to the announcement, Ping's contract will conclude on April 30, 2025, marking the end of his tenure with the agency.
The decision, while unexpected to many fans, appears to be a mutual and carefully considered one. MChoice revealed that Ping first expressed his desire to explore new opportunities on April 3, 2024. After discussions between the two parties, they reached a mutual and amicable agreement.
“All outstanding duties have been wrapped up,” MChoice stated in its official release, noting that Ping's final commitment under their management will be a long-term co-promotion campaign that also ends in April.
This also means the conclusion of Ping’s professional on-screen partnership with fellow actor Meen Nichakoon Khajornborirak.
The two have worked closely under the “Meen-Ping” pairing, which gained significant fan support over recent years. Their last scheduled activities as a duo will wrap on the same day, April 30.
Both Meen and Ping participated in a live broadcast on April 21, where they took time to connect with fans and acknowledge the outpouring of support.
During the session, Meen touched on the meaning of his “Area 86” tattoo—a reference to their fandom—stating he had no plans to ever remove it. He reassured fans that, despite the changes, nothing would shift in his relationship with Ping.
The news comes just weeks after the duo held a successful fan meeting in March, making the announcement all the more surprising to followers. While many expressed sadness and disappointment, the overall sentiment has been one of support and hope for Ping’s future endeavors.
Unconfirmed reports have circulated suggesting Ping may be in talks with GMMTV, a major Thai entertainment agency known for managing top-tier talents. However, neither Ping nor GMMTV has issued any statements confirming or denying the speculation.
In its closing remarks, MChoice Thailand thanked fans for their unwavering support: “We believe their shared journey has created many wonderful memories, and we hope you will continue to cheer them on in every role and along every road they choose from here on.”
For now, fans will have to wait and see where Ping’s next chapter leads—but there is no doubt he will carry a strong fanbase with him wherever he goes.
