Sakurazaka46’s Nakashima Yuzuki Smashes Uni & Idol Life!
Sakurazaka46’s Nakashima Yuzuki has officially graduated from university, proving once again that she’s not just a hardworking idol but also a determined student!
Before joining the group, Yuzuki Nakashima spent nearly four hours daily commuting from her home to university, then heading straight to her part-time job.
But things got even tougher after she passed the 3rd-gen auditions—suddenly, her life revolved around travelling between Tokyo and Fukuoka, juggling classes, dance lessons, and idol duties.
Yet, she never gave up.

Now, with her university days behind her, she’s celebrating this massive milestone with her fans.
She recently posted a vlog on Sakurazaka46’s official YouTube channel, documenting her hectic life as an idol-student and reflecting on her journey.
Despite her calm and elegant image, Yuzuki Nakashima is actually a lively, variety-type idol with a bright personality.
Born under a supermoon (and even named after one!), she’s ironically a morning person—so much so that she became a regular on TBS’s morning show Love It!
She’s also the centre of Sakurazaka46’s 3rd-gen song, Anthem Time.
And she’s got quite the quirky side too!
A self-proclaimed expert in “crunchy plum plate-distributing” and “rice-weighing” from her restaurant part-time job, Nakashima Yuzuki always brings fun energy to the group.
She loves choco-mint and red bean paste, but above all, she loves making people smile.
In her blog post, she shared heartfelt reflections on her journey. She admitted that in her second year of uni, she felt scared about choosing a career path.

That’s when she took a leap of faith—auditioning for Sakurazaka46 on her own.
Meeting the other hopefuls, she felt an instant spark, realising that people cross paths at the right time for a reason.
Her time in Sakurazaka46 taught her a valuable lesson: never give up on hard work.
She recalled nights where she’d take the first flight back home after rehearsals, rushing straight to morning classes.

There were exhausting days, uncertain moments, and sacrifices. But looking back, she’s proud of her past self for pushing through.
Yuzuki’s graduation ceremony took place on 25 March, with her parents by her side.
Her mother helped with her kimono and hair, while her father drove her there.
She also got to thank her friends and club juniors, sharing happy moments that made her realise how precious those four years were.
Her journey as an idol-student was no easy feat, but she made it.
And now, she steps into the future with the same determination and bright smile that has won over so many fans.
Congrats, Yuzu!
