| Voice Actress Riho Iida Welcomes Twins (X) |
Big congratulations are in order for voice actress Riho Iida – she’s officially a mum, and not just once over, but twice!
On 24 April, Iida took to her X (formerly Twitter) account to announce that she’s given birth to twins.
And honestly, it sounds like something straight out of a gentle anime ending.
“I gave birth to twins on a clear day with the cherry blossoms in full bloom,” she wrote, painting the perfect springtime scene.
“Every day, I feel so blessed and healed just being with these two tiny souls.”
If that doesn’t melt your heart, we don’t know what will.
She also took a moment to thank everyone who supported her through her journey and added, “I’d be very happy if you could continue watching over us warmly.”
Always humble, always wholesome.
For those who might not know her beyond her work: Riho Iida, now 33, is a Saitama-born actress and voice talent best known for voicing Rin Hoshizora in the massively popular Love Live! series.
She made her voice acting debut back in 2010 and has since built up a tidy little resume, with roles in shows like Venus Project -Climax- (2015), Re-Kan! (2015), Kaiju Girls (2017), and Dropkick on My Devil! (2018).
In her personal life, Iida announced her marriage to a non-celebrity partner on New Year’s Day 2022, and just last Christmas (2024), she revealed that she was expecting after undergoing fertility treatment – something she was refreshingly open about.
Now, just a few months later, the twins have arrived safely, and it sounds like mum and babies are doing wonderfully.
We’re sending Riho all the love and sleep she can get – and if the past is anything to go by, she’ll be balancing motherhood and her creative work like an absolute pro.
