XG’s Coachella 2025 finale didn’t just close out the festival—it absolutely exploded with energy and flair. The global girl group turned heads once again, bringing their A-game for Week 2 of the iconic festival. After a solid debut on the Sahara Stage the weekend before, their return on April 20th had fans even more hyped. And honestly, they didn’t disappoint.

The buzz was real, with the hashtag #XGCHELLA shooting up the trending charts globally.

By the end of their set, it was trending at #5 worldwide and ranked in the top 5 in 11 countries—impressive, especially when they secured #2 in the U.S.

US media outlets and fans alike couldn’t stop praising their electric stage presence and bold new looks, including COCONA’s dramatic buzz cut and the eye-popping red outfits that screamed ‘confidence.’

Opening with the hard-hitting “HESONOO + X-GENE” and “WOKE UP,” the group got the crowd moving right from the start.

But it was when they dropped “GRL GVNG”—the track that made them the first Japanese act to hit #1 on Billboard’s Hot Trending Songs chart—that the energy really ramped up.

XG’s Coachella Debut: A Standout Performance in Week 2

As CHISA and MAYA took turns hyping the crowd, JURIN gave an iconic shout-out: “ALL RIGHT COACHELLA! THIS IS OUR PARTY!!” The roar from the crowd? Deafening.

A standout moment?

The “SHINOBI” dance break.

Seventeen masked performers executed a flawless, dramatic routine inspired by Japanese stealth culture—blending precision with a theatrical flair that left everyone in awe.

But that wasn’t all. The set included fan favourites like “LEFT RIGHT,” “TGIF,” “PUPPET SHOW,” and “MASCARA”—tracks that really showcased the diversity of XG’s music.

And for those who thought the energy couldn’t get any higher, they threw in a hauntingly beautiful reimagining of “IS THIS LOVE,” which started as a stripped-back piano ballad before transitioning into the full-throttle original version. Unreal.

XG wrapped things up with a bang, closing out their performance with the euphoric “NEW DANCE,” “SOMETHING AIN’T RIGHT,” and an electrifying band-backed version of “SHOOTING STAR,” leaving the crowd screaming for more.

Following the show, fans flooded social media, with #XG_COACHELLA trending at #2 on X (formerly Twitter), as they celebrated the group’s massive achievement.
