| Liu Yuxin Breaks Silence Amid Ongoing Zhang Meng Scandal Speculation (Sohu) |
Just when we thought this decade-old scandal had been buried, it's popped right back into the limelight — thanks to a cryptic post and a resurfaced comic.
It all started when a Chinese gossip blogger shared a cartoon hinting that a certain actress with a history of plastic surgery had once come between a married couple.
Netizens were quick to connect the dots, speculating it was none other than Zhang Meng, the former idol-turned-actress, with the victim being actress Liu Yuxin.
Let’s rewind for a second: back in 2015, Zhang Meng was rumoured to have had an affair with Liu Yuxin’s then-husband, a military officer named Li Meng — and get this, it allegedly happened while Liu Yuxin was pregnant.

The rumour mill exploded at the time, but both women kept things mostly hush-hush… until now.
Fast forward to 2025 — Zhang Meng just gave birth via IVF after years of struggling to conceive with her Korean husband, Kim Eun-sung.
But instead of basking in her new mum glow, she’s now being dragged back into the spotlight over that 2015 scandal.
Why? Because Liu Yuxin might’ve just spoken out.
In a recent Weibo post that fans reckon is aimed at Zhang Meng, Liu wrote:
“We all need to let go of the past. We all deserve a new life. Life isn’t just about yesterday, it’s about the future too, isn’t it?”

This comes not long after Liu appeared on the variety show “Memories Beyond Horizon”, where she opened up about her painful past.
She revealed she had suffered deeply from betrayal, even experiencing a miscarriage and a period of depression.
She never named names, but longtime fans knew what she meant — and who she was likely referring to.
Back in the day, Zhang Meng denied any wrongdoing, even posting a now-infamous eye-roll selfie captioned with a snarky “hehe” — which fans took as a direct provocation.
Things only escalated when, during a time when Liu was mourning her parents, Zhang Meng reportedly posted about how lucky she was to have parents who loved her. Ouch.
Though Zhang Meng later apologised, claiming she was “misled” and didn’t know the full story, the apology was swiftly deleted — making matters worse.
Legally, interfering in a military marriage is no small thing in China, and Zhang Meng’s name was mud for a while.
Over the years, Liu Yuxin occasionally made cryptic posts about karma and justice.
When Zhang Meng was struggling to conceive, Liu Yuxin wrote, “Good deeds bring good returns; evil ones bring consequences.”
Many saw it as a jab, though she never confirmed it.
Since then, Liu Yuxin’s career slowed down and she quietly shifted into work behind the scenes, producing and mentoring rather than performing.
Meanwhile, Zhang Meng left the limelight, focused on livestream sales, and now, motherhood.
